ZEE5 Unveils New Brand Identity: ‘Apni Bhasha, Apni Kahaniyan’ to Champion Regional Storytelling

ZEE5, India’s leading homegrown OTT platform, has announced a significant brand refresh, unveiling a new identity centered around the evocative theme ‘Apni Bhasha, Apni Kahaniyan’ (My Language, My Stories). This rebranding underscores ZEE5’s renewed commitment to delivering compelling narratives rooted in diverse Indian languages, aiming to strengthen its emotional connection with audiences across the nation.

As reported by The Hindu, the new visual identity features a vibrant and fluid logo design, symbolizing the rich diversity and dynamic energy of India’s linguistic and cultural landscape. The accompanying tagline is not merely a marketing slogan but is positioned as a profound cultural commitment by ZEE5 to prioritize and promote stories that genuinely resonate with the native experiences of its viewers.

Manish Kalra, Chief Business Officer, ZEE5 India, elaborated on the essence of the new identity. “The new identity aims to connect with the emotional power of stories experienced in one’s own language,” Kalra stated. He further affirmed the platform’s dedication to investing heavily in regional programming, with a robust pipeline of original series, films, and shows spanning various Indian languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Bangla, Marathi, and Punjabi, among others.

Complementing the visual overhaul, ZEE5 has also introduced a new sonic identity – a custom brand sound. This carefully crafted audio signature is designed to deepen the platform’s emotional resonance, evoking feelings of familiarity, rootedness, and cultural pride among its audience.

Kalra noted that ZEE5 has already solidified its position as a frontrunner in India’s regional OTT space. This brand refresh is intended to further cement that position by aligning its core identity even more closely with the sentiments and preferences of its vast and diverse audience base.

Currently, ZEE5 boasts an extensive content library comprising over 3,500 films, 220 originals, and content available in 12 Indian languages. With this new brand identity, the company aims to drive deeper engagement and expand its loyal viewership by prominently featuring narratives that authentically echo regional voices and emotions, thereby reinforcing its commitment to “Apni Bhasha, Apni Kahaniyan.”
