Sony Sports Network Fires Up Anticipation with ‘Ground Tumhara, Jeet Hamari’ Campaign for India’s England Tour

Ahead of the highly anticipated India tour of England 2025, Sony Sports Network, the premier destination for cricket in India, has launched its dynamic new campaign, ‘Ground Tumhara, Jeet Hamari’ (The Ground is Yours, Victory Will Be Ours). The campaign aims to ignite the passion of Indian cricket fans as the new-look team prepares for a challenging five-Test series on English soil, commencing June 20, 2025.

The campaign’s centerpiece is a compelling animation-based film that draws inspiration from the evolving narrative of Indian cricket. While India has excelled in shorter formats, Test cricket in England has historically been a formidable challenge, with India winning only 3 out of 19 series in the past century. Following the recent retirements of stalwarts Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, a fresh, young, and dynamic squad, led by a new captain, is ready to carve its own legacy. This new team embodies the spirit of ‘Naya India, Dhaakad India’ (New India, Powerful India), determined to face the challenge head-on.

As part of the ‘Ground Tumhara, Jeet Hamari’ campaign, Sony Sports Network has produced a series of promotional films capturing the intensity of India’s quest for Test glory in England. The ‘Captains Promo’ features post-match insights from legendary captains Ajit Wadekar (1971), Kapil Dev (1986), and Rahul Dravid (2007), underscoring the enduring challenge of winning in England while confidently proclaiming, “Ground to Tumhara hai, par jeet hamari hogi” (The ground is yours, but victory will be ours).

Another film, ‘Fury in Harmony – Bumrah,’ revisits Jasprit Bumrah’s crucial wicket against England from the 2020-21 series, highlighting the thrill and satisfaction that Test cricket brings. The upcoming film ‘Kasam Paida Karne Wale Ki’ delves into the fierce rivalry and the difficulties posed by English playing conditions and fans, using the iconic 1984 song of the same name to resonate with India’s historical struggles in England. This film features cricket legends Sunil Gavaskar and Irfan Pathan, along with Gaurav Kapur, Sanjana Ganesan, and English players Mark Wood, Harry Brook, Jamie Smith, and Gus Atkinson.

Rajesh Kaul, Chief Revenue Officer – Distribution & International Business and Head – Sports Business, Sony Pictures Networks India, emphasized the significance of the tour, stating, “The India tour of England will be a ‘test’ in the truest sense of the word… With ‘Naya India, Dhaakad India’, we are celebrating the courage and determination of this new generation, which is unafraid, undeterred, and ready to script history.”

Indian batter and Sony Sports Network panellist Cheteshwar Pujara acknowledged the historical challenge, saying, “In the last 100 years, India has managed to win only 3 out of 19 series played on English soil… With a young and dynamic squad, this tour represents a significant turning point for Indian cricket.”

Former Indian all-rounder and panellist Irfan Pathan added, “‘Ground Tumhara, Jeet Hamari’ perfectly captures the fearless attitude and resilience of this squad. I am confident that this team has the talent and determination to take on the toughest challenges.”

Cricket fans can catch the entire India tour of England, starting June 20, 2025, LIVE and Exclusive on the Sony Sports Network channels.
