Corrections

Accuracy is the foundation of everything we publish. When we get something wrong, we fix it quickly and say so.

Our policy

• Factual errors are corrected as soon as we confirm them, and the story carries a dated correction note explaining what changed.
• We never quietly change a fact, a quote or the meaning of a headline.
• Spelling, grammar and style fixes are made without a note.
• We remove a story only for legal reasons or when it cannot be corrected, and the editor-in-chief records why.
