This strategic acquisition is designed to accelerate Instacart’s enterprise-led strategy, allowing the company to export its technology beyond North America and tap into the evolving omnichannel needs of grocery retailers across Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East.

Instaleap has built a robust reputation as a purpose-built grocery technology provider, boasting operations in nearly 30 countries. With deep local market expertise, the platform has powered over 100 million transactions to date and maintains strong relationships with nearly 100 grocery retailers and marketplaces worldwide, including major players like Cencosud, Continente, Jerónimo Martins, Lulu, and SPAR.

By integrating Instaleap’s technology—which specializes in marketplace integrations, order management, picking, routing, and logistics—Instacart is positioned to provide a more comprehensive suite of tools to international retailers. The acquisition complements Instacart’s existing enterprise portfolio, which includes Storefront Pro, Carrot Ads, and AI-powered Caper Carts, all of which are already seeing early traction in markets like the UK and Australia.

This acquisition reflects Instacart’s broader pivot toward becoming a global technology enablement layer for grocers.
