Blinkit, a quick-commerce platform under Zomato, has introduced the Blinkit Sellers Hub, enabling brands to sell directly to consumers without intermediaries. This strategic move positions Blinkit as a competitor to e-commerce giants such as Amazon and Flipkart, with over 200 brands already participating in the program.
Sajal Gupta, Blinkit’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO), shared the news on X (formerly Twitter), revealing that more brands will join after completing regulatory verifications. The launch of this feature coincides with Zomato’s plans to raise $1 billion through a qualified institutional placement (QIP) to support Blinkit’s rapid expansion.
With a significant year-on-year growth, Blinkit has doubled its size and strengthened its infrastructure by adding 152 new dark stores and seven warehouses. This expansion supports its ambition to lead the burgeoning quick-commerce market by capitalizing on its logistic capabilities and Zomato’s aggressive growth trajectory.
