In a strategic move to bolster its consulting capabilities, Wipro Limited has appointed Amit Kumar as the Managing Partner and Global Head of Wipro Consulting, effective immediately. Kumar will report directly to CEO and Managing Director Srini Pallia and will join the Wipro Executive Board.

Amit Kumar brings over 24 years of consulting experience across North America, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific regions. Before joining Wipro, he served as Managing Director at Accenture Consulting, where he led the Americas Market and Industry X Consulting divisions over a 17-year tenure. His expertise spans industries such as high-tech, chemicals, energy, retail, automotive, and consumer goods, focusing on business transformation, operational excellence, engineering, manufacturing digitization, and supply chain management.

Kumar is an alumnus of St. Stephen’s College, Delhi, and holds a master’s degree in management from the Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune. He will be based in the greater New York area.

Under Kumar’s leadership, Wipro aims to drive consulting-led, AI-powered growth, guiding clients through complex business and technology transformations. Leveraging Wipro’s expertise, he will focus on delivering transformative AI, data, and industry solutions to help businesses scale and thrive amid digital disruption.
