Truecaller, the Swedish software leader renowned for its caller identification and spam-blocking services, has announced the appointment of Rishit Jhunjhunwala as its new Chief Executive Officer. Jhunjhunwala, who has been with Truecaller since 2015 and currently serves as the Chief Product Officer and Managing Director of Truecaller India, will officially step into the CEO role on January 9, 2025.
This leadership change follows the departure of Alan Mamedi, who has led the company since its inception. Alongside co-founder Nami Zarringhalam, Mamedi revealed that they would transition to more strategic roles as board members and advisors by June 30, 2025, shifting focus to the company’s long-term vision. In its financial update, Truecaller announced a 15% year-over-year increase in net sales, which reached 457 million Swedish crowns (approximately $42.21 million) for the most recent quarter.
