PVR INOX Limited has teamed up with Star Sports to introduce live Premier League action to cinemas in major cities across India, debuting the Star Sports Select Screenings. Football enthusiasts can now experience the thrill of matches featuring popular teams such as Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Tottenham on the big screen, providing fans with a stadium-like atmosphere.
The screenings, set to launch in cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Guwahati, Kochi, and Pune, aim to replicate the intense matchday experience that brings fans together. Following the success of the Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 screenings, the Premier League is the first football league to be showcased under this Select Screenings initiative, offering football fans a unique way to cheer for their teams in a communal setting.
Gautam Dutta, CEO of Revenue & Operations at PVR INOX Limited, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, noting that the initiative is designed to create an immersive environment for Premier League fans. “Our partnership with Star Sports aims to give Premier League fans an unmatched viewing experience in theatres, creating a communal space for supporters to come together,” said Dutta.
Vikram Passi, Marketing Head of Star Sports Network, highlighted the emotional appeal of the project, saying, “This initiative is not only about watching football; it’s about uniting passionate fans in an immersive environment.”
The screenings will kick off with the highly anticipated Chelsea vs. Arsenal match on November 10, inviting fans to experience every goal and tackle as a shared celebration.
