Netflix India and Kommune have partnered for the third edition of Voices of Tomorrow (VOT), a key initiative under the Voice Equity Project, aimed at diversifying the dubbing industry by empowering under-represented groups. This edition, running from September 2024 to January 2025, will focus on providing dubbing opportunities to individuals over the age of 45 and members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
Through collaboration with queer collectives, NGOs supporting senior citizens, and Mumbai-based artist organizations, the program will offer professional dubbing training to approximately 300 shortlisted participants from 500 applicants. This initiative aligns with Netflix’s broader mission of fostering inclusivity in the media and entertainment industry.
With the global demand for voice-over talent rapidly increasing, the initiative strives to make the dubbing industry more inclusive by introducing diverse voices and breaking barriers in mainstream media.
