Jailer 2 Grosses ₹606 Crore in 8 Days, Passing Leo and Jailer's Lifetime Totals
Rajinikanth's sequel reached ₹606.05 crore worldwide by its eighth day, according to Sacnilk estimates, edging past Leo and the first Jailer and leaving only 2.0 ahead among Tamil films.
Why it mattersA Tamil film crossing ₹600 crore in eight days, with a third of it from overseas, strengthens the case for big-budget southern sequels and lifts theatre chains heading into their results season.

Jailer 2 grossed an estimated ₹606.05 crore worldwide in its first eight days, becoming the fourth Tamil film to cross ₹600 crore, according to box-office tracker Sacnilk, which published the figures on 23 October 2026.
That puts the Rajinikanth film, released on 15 October, just ahead of the lifetime worldwide totals of Vijay's Leo (₹605.90 crore) and the first Jailer (₹604.74 crore), Sacnilk said. Only Shankar's 2.0, at ₹691 crore, has grossed more among Tamil films.

The film is directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Sun Pictures. The makers have separately announced a worldwide figure of more than ₹549 crore, an earlier milestone, ETV Bharat reported. Box-office numbers from trackers are estimates and can change as final figures come in.
