insiderOne has launched CareerOS, a career platform where job seekers prove their skills instead of claiming them. Users take a live challenge of about ten minutes, and each pass is sealed as a signed receipt that anyone, including an employer, can verify. The company announced the launch on 14 October 2026 and said it went live earlier than planned after more than 1,600 people joined the beta in its first weeks.
Disclosure: insiderOne is owned by Aurist Private Limited, which also publishes PressRoom. This story was reported and edited under our editorial standards. Figures on users and jobs are the company's own and have not been independently verified.
"CareerOS changes the question from what you claim to what you can prove," said Bishnu Dev Changkakoti, insiderOne's founder and chief executive. He argued that hiring has barely changed in decades, even as AI now writes CVs for anyone.
How CareerOS works
Challenges cover skills such as SQL, Python, Excel and data analysis, and each ends in a score and a level from Emerging to Expert. The resulting receipt records the skill, tier, score and time, can be added to a LinkedIn profile, and fails verification if even one digit is changed. By launch, hundreds of users had proved a skill across 68 skills, the company said.
Around those receipts, the platform bundles:
- A job board of more than 11,000 jobs and internships in 52 countries, including over 3,200 in India, drawn from company careers pages and job boards. It listed 11,360 openings from 1,360 hiring organisations on launch day.
- Apply Agent, which shows the jobs a user qualifies for and what would unlock more. Nothing is sent until the user presses send.
- ZENOR-Æ, a career assistant that replies in the language the user writes in.
- Interview practice with mock interviews, and insiderOne University, which offers free certifications employers can check.
- Campus boards and duels, with season standings between colleges and friends challenging each other on a skill.
- An employer shortlist of people who have already shown they can do the work.
Price and availability
CareerOS works in any browser at insiderone.in and can be installed as an app on Android and iPhone. The press release says it is free during the beta. The company's website says it is free for students, career switchers and professionals until 31 December 2026, after which Career Pro costs ₹149 a month, and that employers pay according to company size. A reward layer called TISH gives tokens with no monetary value for verified work, redeemable for Career Pro time from 1 January 2027.
Who is behind it
insiderOne is bootstrapped. Changkakoti leads it with co-founder and chief technology officer Pratyush Majumdar. Its applied AI research is done at HyperQuark Intelligence Labs, which the company owns and runs in San Francisco. CareerOS builds on the skill ledger insiderOne announced in October 2025.
