In a strategic move to enhance its brand presence, Jio-bp, the fuel retailing joint venture between Reliance Industries Limited and bp, has appointed acclaimed actor Pankaj Tripathi as the face of its new International Fuel for India (IFFI) campaign. This initiative was unveiled during the India Energy Week 2025 in New Delhi, with the campaign officially launched by the Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Hardeep Singh Puri.

Leveraging over a century of bp’s fuel research expertise, Jio-bp has introduced high-performance fuels incorporating ACTIVE Technology. These fuels have undergone rigorous testing with Indian Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) engines and fuels across thousands of kilometers at renowned R&D centers in the UK and Germany. The results indicate that Jio-bp’s diesel with ACTIVE Technology offers up to a 4.3% increase in mileage, while their petrol formulation helps maintain critical engine components up to 10 times cleaner.

To vividly demonstrate the advantages of their high-performance fuels, Jio-bp showcased an innovative Split Fuel Car at the event. This vehicle features two distinct fuel tanks powering separate halves of its 6-cylinder engine. Utilizing borescope imaging, the exhibit highlighted that engines running on ordinary petrol accumulate more deposits on critical components, leading to reduced fuel efficiency. In contrast, engines powered by Jio-bp’s ACTIVE Technology fuels exhibited significantly fewer deposits, underscoring the benefits of cleaner fuel combustion.

Renowned for his versatile roles in Indian cinema, Pankaj Tripathi brings authenticity and relatability to the IFFI campaign. His association with Jio-bp aims to resonate with a broad spectrum of consumers, emphasizing the brand’s commitment to delivering international-quality fuels tailored for the Indian market.
