Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri Begins Shooting for ‘The Delhi Files’

Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, renowned for his impactful films like The Kashmir Files and The Vaccine War, has officially commenced shooting for his upcoming project The Delhi Files. The director shared the exciting update with his followers on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday, revealing a behind-the-scenes video from the film’s set. The clip captured a Pooja ceremony conducted by the crew, marking the auspicious beginning of the production.

In his post, Agnihotri expressed his gratitude and excitement for the project, writing, “SHUBHARAMBH. With your blessings, the shooting of #TheDelhiFiles began today. A puja was conducted by all the devis of the crew. O Mother! Please give us the courage to tell this difficult tale with utmost honesty and fearlessly.”

The Delhi Files is set to explore significant historical events from the partition era, and Agnihotri has already undertaken extensive research for the film. He traveled across cities such as Kerala, Kolkata, and Delhi to gather information, spending considerable time at Gandhi’s Ashram in Sewagram. Reflecting on his research, Agnihotri said, “For the research of #TheDelhiFiles, I spent days at Gandhi’s Ashram in Sewagram. Truly inspiring.”

The director’s research process involved reading over 100 books, more than 200 articles, and reviewing over 7,000 research pages and 1,000 archived articles, ensuring the film’s historical accuracy.

The Delhi Files will be produced by Abhishek Agarwal Arts, in collaboration with Agnihotri’s production house, I Am Buddha.
