The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has announced an extension to the deadline for stakeholders to submit their feedback on the draft manual pertaining to the “Rating of Properties for Digital Connectivity Regulations, 2024”.
Initially, the last date for submitting comments was June 2, 2025, and for counter-comments, it was June 9, 2025. However, following requests from various stakeholders for more time to review and provide input on the draft manual, TRAI has decided to extend these deadlines by one week.
The new deadline for submitting comments is now June 9, 2025, and the last date for filing counter-comments is June 16, 2025. This extension aims to provide stakeholders with additional time to thoroughly examine the proposed framework for rating the digital connectivity of properties across the country.
The “Rating of Properties for Digital Connectivity Regulations, 2024” and the associated draft manual are significant steps towards establishing a standardized system for evaluating and improving the digital infrastructure within buildings. This includes assessing the availability of high-speed internet, mobile network coverage, and the overall readiness of properties for seamless digital experiences. The rating system intends to empower consumers by providing them with transparent information about the digital connectivity of properties, thereby influencing their choices.
