Bollywood star Ranveer Singh’s espionage drama, ‘Dhurandhar’, has established itself as a monumental box office force, storming past the ₹550 crore mark at the global box office within just 10 days of its release. The film, written and directed by Aditya Dhar, has delivered record-breaking numbers both in the domestic and international markets, securing its status as one of the biggest Hindi film successes in recent memory.

According to an official announcement by the makers on Monday, the total worldwide collection for ‘Dhurandhar’ currently stands at a staggering ₹552.70 crore (Globally).

The film’s unprecedented momentum was underscored by its performance on the second Sunday, where it collected a massive ₹58.20 crore nett in India. This figure marks the biggest Sunday ever for a Hindi film in the domestic market.

The makers proudly stated that the film has registered the biggest second Friday, second Saturday, and second Sunday in the history of Hindi cinema, describing the run as an “unprecedented, record-shattering” phenomenon driven by exceptional word-of-mouth.

The high-octane spy thriller, produced by Aditya Dhar and Lokesh Dhar under B62 Studios in association with Jyoti Deshpande’s Jio Studios, follows covert intelligence operations set against the backdrop of major geopolitical and terror events. The narrative touches upon real-life events, including the Kandahar plane hijack, the 2001 Parliament attack, and the 26/11 Mumbai attacks. The film’s setting is largely in Lyari, Karachi, an area historically associated with violent turf battles.

Despite generating polarising reactions among critics and audiences in India, the film’s financial performance has remained completely unaffected, cementing its status as a monster hit.

The espionage drama features an ensemble cast alongside Ranveer Singh in the lead role, including Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, R Madhavan, and Rakesh Bedi.
