Nestlé India Warns Against Job Scams: Fake Posts Offering ₹5-10 Lakh Salaries Debunked

Nestlé India has issued a stern warning to job seekers about fraudulent recruitment schemes circulating online, falsely advertising lucrative positions with salaries ranging from ₹5 lakh to ₹10 lakh per annum. The company’s Chairman and Managing Director, Suresh Narayanan, personally intervened to debunk these claims, urging aspiring professionals to exercise caution and avoid falling victim to such scams.

The fraudulent job postings were shared by a LinkedIn user named Pooja Dayal, who claimed to be a recruitment specialist. Her post invited candidates to participate in virtual interviews for multiple roles at Nestlé India on March 17–18, 2025, listing positions such as:

  • Human Resources Business Partner
  • IT Solutions Architect (Cloud)
  • Marketing Manager
  • Associate Software Engineer

The post also falsely promised options for work-from-home (WFH), work-from-office (WFO), and remote roles.

Narayanan responded strongly, labeling the advert as “completely fake, totally untrue, and grossly misleading.” He emphasized that Nestlé India does not recruit through unauthorized channels or offer employment via pop-up ads or unsolicited social media posts.

Taking to LinkedIn, Narayanan issued a heartfelt plea, “Appealing to all young and aspiring talent NOT to respond to this or any advert of this kind that might pop up! As the CMD for Nestlé India, I don’t want any youngster from anywhere to be duped by these lofty offers made! Hence please do not respond. The reason I am personally intervening is my concern for you.”

He reiterated Nestlé India’s commitment to ethical recruitment practices and urged job seekers to verify all opportunities through official channels.

Nestlé India clarified its recruitment process in an official statement:

  1. Authorized Channels Only: All legitimate job postings are shared exclusively via Nestlé India’s official website (www.nestle.in/jobs) or LinkedIn profile (https://lnkd.in/eA8DQpUn).
  2. No Fees Charged: Recruitment agencies authorized by Nestlé do not charge fees at any stage of the hiring process.
  3. Avoid Sharing Personal Information: Job seekers are advised not to share sensitive details like bank account information with anyone claiming to represent Nestlé India.
  4. Verify Suspicious Links: Be cautious of clicking on unfamiliar links or responding to unsolicited messages promising job offers.

Such scams not only mislead vulnerable job seekers but also tarnish the reputation of legitimate companies like Nestlé India. Narayanan’s proactive approach highlights the importance of corporate transparency and accountability in addressing digital fraud.

As online recruitment scams become increasingly sophisticated, it is crucial for job seekers to remain vigilant and rely only on verified sources for employment opportunities. Nestlé India’s intervention serves as a reminder of the importance of protecting oneself from deceptive practices in the digital age.
