Jio Studios has officially launched the music for its much-awaited Marathi film, Sangeet Manapmaan, directed by the talented Subodh Bhave. Inspired by Krishnaji Prabhakar Khadilkar’s 113-year-old Marathi classic, the movie is set to release on January 10, 2025, and promises to uphold the rich tradition of Marathi musical theatre.
‘Sangeet Manapmaan’ is positioned as a modern cinematic masterpiece, drawing inspiration from iconic musicals like Katyar Kaljat Ghusli and Ani…Dr. Kashinath Ghanekar. Subodh Bhave, a revered name in Marathi cinema, brings his directorial prowess and acting talent to the project, raising expectations among Marathi audiences.
The launch event, held on November 28 in Mumbai, was a cultural spectacle. Live performances of classic songs from the original play were blended seamlessly with new compositions created for the film.
