The makers of the upcoming Bollywood film ‘Bhool Chuk Maaf’, starring Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi, have announced a change in their release strategy. The film, which was initially slated for a direct-to-digital premiere, will now see a theatrical release on May 23, 2025.
This decision comes after earlier reports of a legal dispute regarding the film’s release. Production banner Maddock Films confirmed the new theatrical release date, inviting audiences to experience the “madness” on the big screen.
‘Bhool Chuk Maaf’ is a romantic comedy directed by Karan Sharma and produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films, in association with Amazon MGM Studios. The film revolves around a groom-to-be (Rajkummar Rao) trapped in a time loop ahead of his wedding with Titli (Wamiqa Gabbi).
The makers had previously announced an OTT release for May 16, citing security concerns. However, the film will now first arrive in cinemas on May 23.
