Aptech & NFDC Collaborate to Empower India’s AVGC and Media Talent

Aptech Limited, a renowned leader in vocational training for over 38 years, has entered a strategic partnership with the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) to bolster India’s talent in the Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, Comics (AVGC), and Media & Entertainment sectors.

This collaboration was unveiled at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) Goa 2024, where Aptech served as the title sponsor for the Creative Minds of Tomorrow (CMOT) event, held from November 21 to 24.

Aptech’s skilling initiative at IFFI featured hands-on training booths, allowing over 100 aspirants to experience cutting-edge techniques in animation, visual effects, theatrical beauty, and fashion. Training was provided through Aptech’s flagship brands, including:

  • Arena Animation
  • Maya Academy of Advanced Creativity (MAAC)
  • Lakmé Academy
  • The Virtual Production Academy

This immersive learning program aimed to close the gap between talent and industry demands, fostering a skilled AVGC workforce.

Since its inception in 2021, CMOT has served as a premier platform for Indian cinematic talent, connecting participants with global opportunities. The 2024 edition focused on shaping narratives aligned with India’s cultural and creative aspirations.

Sessions at Film Bazaar, IFFI’s business arm, which offers insight into the evolving media landscape.

Aptech’s Chief Business Officer, Neeraj Malik, highlighted the role of skilling in transforming passion into professional success. Speaking at the Knowledge Series panel on “The Evolution of Digital Filmmaking,” moderated by Vijay Vikram Singh (the iconic voice of Bigg Boss), Malik emphasized the importance of adapting to technological advancements in filmmaking.
