In his new capacity, Garg will oversee PAN India fulfillment center operations, a critical vertical as Blinkit continues its aggressive “dark store” expansion. Having previously served as a Senior Program Manager, his expertise lies in integrating cross-functional teams across product, design, analytics, and operations to optimize the 10-minute delivery supply chain.
Sumit Garg is an industry veteran with deep roots in Indian e-commerce. Before joining Blinkit, he held significant leadership roles at major platforms:
- Flipkart: Managed warehouse processes and resolved critical operational bottlenecks.
- AJIO (Reliance Retail): Focused on data-driven customer experience enhancements.
- Snapdeal: Led process improvements in the supply chain division.
A graduate in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Garg’s technical background has been instrumental in refining the automated sorting and inventory management systems that power Blinkit’s industry-leading delivery speeds.
The promotion coincides with the formalization of Albinder Dhindsa as the new Group CEO of Eternal Ltd, succeeding founder Deepinder Goyal. As Blinkit remains the group’s “largest growth opportunity,” promoting internal talent like Garg signals a focus on operational stability and executional depth.
With this new leadership structure, Blinkit aims to further penetrate Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, leveraging Garg’s experience in scaling logistics infrastructure to meet the rising demand for ultra-fast commerce across India.
