This Diwali and Kali Puja season, TV9 Bangla is set to illuminate screens with its special program series, ‘Praner Alo’ (The Light of Life). The series will run from October 25 to 30, airing daily at 5:30 PM. Designed to embody the theme of hope overcoming darkness, ‘Praner Alo’ aims to inspire audiences through knowledge and cultural devotion.
Amritanshu Bhattacharya, Managing Editor and Business Head of TV9 Bangla, emphasized the program’s purpose: “Goodness emerges over evil, and this Deepawali is set to bring a new light of hope.”
Banglar Shatipeeth: This segment delves into the legends of India’s 51 sacred Shaktipeethas, including the 18 Maha Shaktipeethas, which are ancient temples dedicated to Goddess Sati.
The series will consist of seven episodes, each showcasing the formation and spiritual significance of these revered pilgrimage sites, airing from October 25 to 30 at 5:30 PM.
Pannalal Tribute:
On October 27 at 10 PM, a special tribute episode will commemorate singer Pannalal Bhattacharya, known for his devout ‘Shyama Sangeet,’ which is central to Bengal’s Kali Puja celebrations.
Pannalal’s deeply devotional music has left an indelible mark on the cultural landscape. The tribute episode will also be re-aired on October 31 at 10 PM, allowing audiences to relive his musical legacy.
