The 25th International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards are set to take place in Jaipur from March 7 to March 9, 2025. This special silver jubilee edition will also introduce the inaugural IIFA Digital Awards, which will recognize outstanding performances in digital entertainment, films, and OTT content, according to an official announcement made yesterday.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Rajasthan Tourism Department and IIFA, marking this major event for the state. Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari emphasized that the 2025 IIFA event will promote Rajasthan’s rich heritage, culture, and historical sites on a global stage. The event is expected to attract prominent filmmakers, potentially driving more film productions to the state and generating new job and investment opportunities.
This marks only the second time the IIFA Awards will be held in India, following the 2019 edition in Mumbai. The IIFA Awards have become a globally recognized platform, celebrating the growth and international appeal of Indian cinema since their inception in London in 2000. The event will culminate in grand performances by top celebrities, honoring the most accomplished individuals in the Indian film industry.
