Lindsay Pattison, WPP’s Chief People Officer, has announced her decision to step down from her role after 16 years with the company. In a heartfelt message shared on LinkedIn, Pattison expressed her intention to take a break in the spring to recharge and reflect before pursuing new opportunities.

Pattison’s career at WPP began in a media management role at Team Y&R before she transitioned to Sony Ericsson as a brand manager. She later joined PHD Media as a managing partner and held various significant positions, including vice chair of the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council on the Future of Media. As Chief Transformation Officer at GroupM, she implemented various change initiatives focused on talent development, culture, and diversity. In 2023, she was appointed as WPP’s Chief People Officer, where she continued to influence the company’s people strategy.

In her message, Pattison reflected on her fast-paced career, stating that it was time for her to slow down and take a moment to consider her next steps. WPP CEO Mark Read acknowledged her significant contributions and expressed gratitude for her leadership and support during her tenure.
