Stage, an OTT platform dubbed the “Netflix for Bharat,” is in advanced talks to raise between $7 million and $9 million (approximately ₹56-72 crore) in its largest funding round to date. The platform, known for its regional content and affordable pricing, is engaging with venture capital firms including US-based Goodwater Capital.

Sources close to the top management have confirmed that the talks are progressing well, highlighting growing investor interest in Stage’s unique value proposition in the Indian OTT market. Olympic gold medalist Neeraj Chopra, a notable backer, adds credibility to Stage’s ambitious plans to lead in India’s diverse and evolving digital entertainment space.

The anticipated funding will allow Stage to expand its content library, improve user experience, and widen its regional reach. At a time when competition in the OTT market is heating up, this capital infusion is expected to solidify Stage’s market presence and accelerate its growth trajectory.
