Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) has appointed Sibaji Biswas as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), with his role officially beginning in January 2025. Biswas will be responsible for shaping SPNI’s financial strategy, overseeing corporate finance, and advancing operational planning to support growth across the network’s multi-channel and digital platforms.
Sibaji Biswas brings over 20 years of expertise in financial leadership, joining SPNI from Syngene International, a Biocon Group company, where he served as CFO and Executive Director. During his tenure, he drove transformative initiatives in supply chain and digital optimization, achieving a near threefold increase in market cap and doubling the company’s revenues within five years.
Previously, Biswas spent 12 years at Vodafone, where he held various executive roles, including CFO of Vodafone Romania, EVP of Corporate Development, and Head of Procurement. Additionally, his work with Hutchison India in corporate finance helped facilitate the company’s expansion and positioned him as a leader in strategic financial management.
