Rayhan Thomas’ Journey: From Dubai’s Fairways to Korn Ferry Tour Success

Born in Dubai, Rayhan Thomas honed his golfing skills at the Dubai Creek Resort and the CH3 Academy at The Els Club under the mentorship of Justin Parsons and Claude Harmon III. His dedication and talent led him to Oklahoma State University, where he played collegiate golf, further refining his game.

In June 2024, Thomas transitioned to professional golf, making his debut at the Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Kansas Wichita Open on the Korn Ferry Tour. He showcased his potential with rounds of 72, 64, 67, and 73, finishing tied for 68th at four-under 276. This performance earned him his first professional paycheck of $3,900.

Thomas’s determination was evident as he navigated the rigorous PGA Tour Qualifying School. Starting in October 2024 at the First Stage in Nebraska, he posted impressive rounds to advance to the Second Stage in Georgia. His consistent play earned him a spot in the Final Stage in Florida. There, he delivered rounds of 70, 72, 71, and 68, finishing tied for 26th. This achievement secured him at least 12 starts on the 2025 Korn Ferry Tour.

Kicking off the 2025 season, Thomas participated in the Astara Golf Championship presented by Mastercard in Bogota, Colombia. After an opening-round 66, he followed up with a stellar seven-under-par 64, placing him at 11-under for the tournament and tied for second after 36 holes. Despite a challenging third round, where a triple-bogey on the 18th hole led to a one-over-par 72, Thomas remained optimistic about his performance.

With a secured Korn Ferry Tour card and a promising start to the season, Thomas is poised to make significant strides in his professional career. Reflecting on his journey, he stated, “I am so excited… this will give me a guaranteed minimum of 12 Korn Ferry Tour starts for 2025.” His focus remains on leveraging these opportunities to climb the ranks and eventually secure a spot on the PGA Tour.
