Hitachi India Pvt. Ltd. has announced the appointment of N Venu as its new Managing Director, effective June 2, 2025. In addition to this new role, Venu will continue his responsibilities as the Managing Director & CEO of Hitachi Energy India Limited and the Region Head of South Asia at Hitachi Energy.
This appointment follows the elevation of Dr. Bharat Kaushal, Hitachi’s first Indian Managing Director, to the position of Executive Chairman of Hitachi India, which took effect on April 1, 2025.
As the Managing Director of Hitachi India, N Venu will be instrumental in driving the company’s growth strategy in India, aligning with Hitachi Group’s new management plan – Inspire 2027. His focus will be on enhancing collaboration among the 28 Hitachi Group companies in India, aiming to create greater value for customers as Hitachi evolves into a digital-centric organization. A key aspect of his role will be expanding the Lumada business by integrating IT and OT expertise, building upon Hitachi’s over nine-decade-long partnership with India.
Hitachi is currently undergoing significant expansion in India, with businesses spanning across various sectors
including Rail, Digital, Connective Industries, Energy, Financial inclusion, e-Education, and Healthcare. The company’s vision extends beyond strengthening its local collaborations to establishing Hitachi India as a global hub for providing solutions, aligning with the unified goal of driving business from India for both domestic and international markets.
