Suresh Sambandam, founder and CEO of Kissflow, has launched Mudhal VC, a venture capital fund dedicated to empowering early-stage startups from Tamil Nadu’s Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. Aimed at driving innovation beyond conventional tech hubs, the fund emphasizes mentorship through its “Coach first, Capital second” approach, providing both strategic guidance and financial backing to startups.
At its Chennai launch event, Mudhal VC introduced its initial Rs 25 crore funding, already supporting 15 companies across various sectors including electric vehicles, health-tech, and SaaS. The fund plans a total investment of Rs 125 crore in two phases, with future capital to be raised from Limited Partners (LPs). One notable investment is Bad Boy, an electric trike, unveiled during the event.
