Dirtcube Interactive LLP and Gods and Heroes Studio Pvt. Ltd. have officially joined forces to co-develop ‘Gods of Cricket’ (GOC), an ambitious title positioned as the world’s first full-scale cricket video game offering 1v1 to 11v11 real-time multiplayer gameplay. This strategic partnership, which involves both a creative and technical investment, aims to leverage advanced technology to set a new global benchmark for digital cricket experiences emerging from India.
The highly anticipated ‘Gods of Cricket’ is scheduled to enter its Beta phase on November 23, 2025. The game is designed to fuse the grassroots excitement of gully cricket with the strategic depth of international tournaments. Players will be able to create unique custom avatars, build their own teams, and compete across various formats, from casual matches to professional leagues, all within a cohesive and connected ecosystem.
The collaboration is a significant milestone for the Indian game development ecosystem. Shravan Paidipala, Founder and CEO of Gods and Heroes Studio, emphasized the strength gained from the alliance: “Gods of Cricket has been a dream in the making… Bringing Dirtcube into this journey adds immense strength to our vision. Their technical expertise allows us to scale faster while keeping our focus on creativity, community, and gameplay.”
Echoing this sentiment, Mikhail Bhuta, Founder of Dirtcube Interactive, stated, “For us, this is not just an investment; it’s a creative collaboration. Gods of Cricket embodies the same passion and emotion that defines cricket in every Indian lane and living room.”
Crucially, the game’s infrastructure will be powered by Specter, Dirtcube’s proprietary Backend-as-a-Service (BaaS) platform. This platform will be responsible for managing essential components, including the seamless multiplayer systems, in-game economies, player progression mechanics, and LiveOps support. Pravan Parikh, Co-founder of Dirtcube, highlighted that Specter was “built to help developers scale without being constrained by backend complexities,” making GOC the perfect showcase for its real-time capabilities.
This joint venture arrives amid an exponential boom in the Indian gaming industry. According to the India Gaming Report 2025 by Dentsu and IWMBuzz, India’s pure-play gaming market is valued at over Rs. 8,248 crore and is projected to experience a robust CAGR of more than 23 percent through 2027. The gamer base is expected to expand from 166 million to 246 million within the same period. The partnership between Dirtcube and Gods and Heroes Studio strategically capitalizes on this massive growth, signaling India’s strong emergence as a formidable contender in the global gaming arena.
