BillDesk’s M.N. Srinivasu named new IAMAI chairman for 2025–2027 term

M.N. Srinivasu, Co-Founder of BillDesk, has been elected as the new Chairman of the Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) for the 2025–2027 term. Srinivasu will take over the leadership reins from Harsh Jain, the Co-Founder and CEO of Dream Sports, as IAMAI ushers in a new executive council following its biennial governing council election.

According to a report by The Economic Times, the association also announced that Harshil Mathur, Co-Founder and CEO of Razorpay, has been elected as Vice Chairman, while Sameer Nigam, Founder and CEO of PhonePe, has been named Treasurer. They replace Rajesh Magow, Co-Founder and Group CEO of MakeMyTrip, and Satyan Gajwani, Vice Chairman of Times Internet, respectively. Together, the trio will form IAMAI’s new executive council, alongside Subho Ray, President of IAMAI, who continues in his role as ex officio member.

The newly elected 24-member governing council will formally take charge during IAMAI’s upcoming Annual General Meeting. The council will lead the association through its next two-year cycle, steering the industry body’s role in shaping digital policy, advocacy, and dialogue for India’s rapidly evolving internet and mobile economy.

Srinivasu’s appointment as chairman comes at a crucial time for India’s digital sector, which is witnessing accelerated innovation, increasing investor interest, and an ever-expanding consumer base. His experience with BillDesk—one of India’s earliest and most prominent digital payment platforms—positions him well to guide the IAMAI as it engages with government, regulators, and stakeholders on key industry issues such as digital payments, data privacy, consumer protection, and startup growth.
