Meta has announced a significant leadership transition in its Asia Pacific operations, naming Benjamin Joe as the new Regional Vice President for APAC, effective July 2025. Joe, a veteran of Meta with over 14 years at the company, will succeed Dan Neary, who is set to step down in the coming months. The announcement was shared by Sandhya Devanathan, Vice President and Managing Director of Meta India, via a LinkedIn post.
Benjamin Joe, widely known as Ben, brings a wealth of experience to the role, having spent over a decade in key leadership positions within Meta’s APAC division. His appointment comes at a crucial time as Meta intensifies its regional strategies and focuses on growth across the diverse markets of Asia Pacific.
In the same announcement, Sandhya Devanathan also revealed an expansion of her responsibilities. She will now lead Meta’s business across both India and Southeast Asia, in addition to her current role as VP and MD for Meta India. Expressing her enthusiasm for this new chapter, Devanathan stated on LinkedIn, “Ben is a 14-year Meta veteran, has been a key part of Meta’s APAC leadership team for over 12 years and I am excited for his leadership in leading the region for us.”
Devanathan also acknowledged the contributions of the outgoing VP for APAC, Dan Neary, saying, “I am thankful to Dan Neary for his leadership in steering Asia Pacific business and confident that going ahead we will continue to drive growth and innovation for our valued partners along with Ben.”
