India’s rising pickleball star, Armaan Bhatia, made history on the fourth day of the PWR DUPR India Masters by winning three major matches, solidifying his position as a top player in this rapidly growing sport. Held at the Delhi Lawn Tennis Association (DLTA) Stadium, the tournament saw a massive turnout with over 2,300 matches across 33 age-based categories, making it Asia’s largest pickleball tournament to date.

The Pro (Open) category drew intense international attention, spotlighting leading players from India and beyond. Bhatia’s triple win underscored the event’s dynamic competition, as he excelled in singles, doubles, and mixed doubles categories.   • Pro (Open) Men’s Singles: In an intense showdown, Armaan faced off against USA’s Dusty Boyer. After losing the first set 11-8, he fought back in the second, securing a narrow 11-9 win. The final game saw a thrilling comeback by Bhatia, rallying from an 8-0 deficit to win 11-8.
  • Pro (Open) Mixed Doubles: Teaming up with Roos Van Reek, the Indo-Dutch pair triumphed over Australia’s George Wall and Danni E. Townsend. After leveling at one set each, Bhatia and Van Reek dominated the deciding set, securing an impressive 11-1 win.
  • Pro (Open) Men’s Doubles: Armaan and his partner Harsh Mehta clinched the final victory against Australia-American pair Mitchell Hargreaves and Roman Estareja with two consecutive wins, scoring 11-3 and 11-2.
