Preventify, a Kerala-based healthcare startup, has successfully raised ₹2 crore in a pre-seed funding round. The investment was led by the startup accelerator and community-builder PedalStart, with significant participation from prominent angel investors, including Viren Shetty (Executive Vice Chairman, Narayana Health) and Jatin Kakrani (COO, Dezy).
The newly acquired capital is earmarked for a significant expansion of Preventify’s physical and digital footprint. The startup plans to build its first cluster of 10 clinics and enhance its specialized programs for managing chronic and lifestyle diseases.
Founded by Nirmal NR (former Head of Zoomcar India), Preventify operates at the intersection of clinical protocols, diagnostics, and technology. The startup’s mission is to provide affordable, evidence-based, and standardized preventive care specifically tailored for residents in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, where quality healthcare consistency is often fragmented.
Currently operating three clinics in Kerala, Preventify has already served over 40,000 patients. According to Co-Founder and CEO Nirmal NR, the primary challenge in smaller Indian towns isn’t just “access” to doctors, but the “consistency” of the care journey.
To solve this, Preventify is investing heavily in:
- Technology Integration: Strengthening its digital platform for long-term patient engagement and pharmacy integration.
- Talent Acquisition: Hiring experienced clinicians, nurses, and care coordinators to manage its growing clinic network.
- Clinic Expansion: Aiming to scale across Kerala and other underserved regions over the next 12 to 18 months.
The participation of Viren Shetty from Narayana Health and other leaders from the healthcare ecosystem—including the founders of Supertails and Agrizy—signals strong institutional confidence in Preventify’s capital-efficient model. By focusing on chronic care and early intervention, the startup aims to shift the narrative from reactive “sick care” to proactive “preventive healthcare.”
