Canva Joins ‘Shark Tank India’ Season 5 to Power Startup Storytelling

Canva, the global leader in visual communication, has officially signed on as a co-presenting sponsor for ‘Shark Tank India’ Season 5. This strategic partnership underscores Canva’s commitment to India—its fourth-largest global market—by providing entrepreneurs with the tools to transform complex business ideas into compelling visual stories.

As the fifth season premiered on January 5, 2026, on Sony LIV and Sony Entertainment Television, Canva’s integration aims to help founders pitch with greater clarity and conviction on a national stage.

The collaboration comes at a time when visual fluency is being recognized as a critical skill for the modern workforce. According to Canva’s State of Visual Communication Report 2025:

  • 89% of business leaders now consider visual fluency a “must-have” skill for employees.
  • 94% of Gen Z professionals in India report doing their best work when communicating through visual mediums.
  • Poor visual communication is cited by 85% of leaders as a major cause of delays and confusion in the workplace.

Rather than traditional advertising, Canva’s presence in the “Tank” is rooted in authentic in-show usage. The platform’s tools will be featured in daily summaries, weekly episodic moments, and AI-powered wrap-up videos.

To support the wider ecosystem, Canva is launching a dedicated ‘As Seen on Shark Tank’ template collection in late January. This will allow aspiring founders to use the exact same pitch deck formats, brand kits, and Docs-to-Decks workflows seen on the show.

Key Canva Features for Founders:

  • Multilingual Support: Create designs in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Bengali.
  • Magic Studio AI: Tools like Magic Write and Ask Canva allow small teams to scale content without massive design budgets.
  • One-Click Resizing: Instantly adapt a pitch deck for social media marketing or investor reports.

Shubhika Jain, Brand Lead – India at Canva, stated that the partnership is about enabling Indian founders to show up with “creativity, clarity, and conviction” at the most defining moments of their careers. With over 2.8 billion designs already created by Indian users, Canva is positioning itself as the baseline for the next generation of Indian unicorns.

Key Highlights:

  • Template Launch: A free “As Seen on Shark Tank” template collection will be released in January 2026 for all users.
  • Visual Fluency: Research shows 89% of leaders view visual communication as a core business capability, especially for Gen Z founders.
