The wait for Bollywood fans is finally over as the makers of ‘Rahu Ketu‘ released the film’s official trailer, showcasing the electric comic chemistry between Pulkit Samrat and Varun Sharma. Scheduled for a theatrical release on January 16, 2026, the film promises to be a chaotic comedy entertainer that blends contemporary humor with a quirky, mythological twist.

The trailer opens with the iconic and powerful narration of veteran actor Piyush Mishra, who introduces the audience to the eccentric world of the titular characters. Pulkit and Varun, famously known for their “Hunny-Choocha” dynamic in the Fukrey series, appear as two lovable misfits whose “innocent cluelessness” leads to a series of absurd and hilarious situations.

Directed by Vipul Vig—the acclaimed writer behind all three Fukrey films—’Rahu Ketu’ marks his directorial debut. The film is produced by Zee Studios and Blive Productions.

Speaking about the project, Pulkit Samrat noted that the film captures the same spirit of joy and camaraderie that fans loved in their previous collaborations. “This film brings us together in a completely new, fantastical, and slightly mythical world,” Samrat shared. He added that working with a seasoned cast including Piyush Mishra, Chunky Pandey, Amit Sial, and Shalini Pandey felt like an acting workshop every day.

The story follows Rahu and Ketu, two “bad-luck magnets” who were brought to life from a writer’s mystical notebook. Their journey turns into a wild chase when a mischievous girl named Meenu Taxi (played by Shalini Pandey) steals the notebook, controlling their destiny. What follows is a riotous tangle involving a drug mafia, ancient folklore, and a quest for self-discovery.

Director Vipul Vig has integrated Indian cultural belief systems with situational satire, holding up a mirror to human flaws through the lens of madness and fun.
