Today Network Ltd. has formally commenced its exit from the FM radio business, with its Special Committee of Directors approving the sale of its entire radio operation to Abhijit Realtors and Infraventures Private Limited. The transaction, valued at a total consideration of ₹10 crore plus taxes, is part of T.V. Today’s strategy to divest from non-core, loss-making segments and sharpen focus on its high-priority businesses.
The decision was finalized at a committee meeting held on November 25, 2025, and disclosed in a regulatory filing under SEBI regulations. The proposed sale is for the complete transfer of T.V. Today’s FM radio broadcasting operations—including its stations in Mumbai, Delhi, and Kolkata—all operating under the 104.8 FM frequency.
The strategic move is driven by the radio division’s financial performance:
- Revenue Contribution: In FY 2024–25, the FM radio division contributed ₹14.16 crore to the company’s revenue, accounting for only 1.41 percent of its total turnover.
- Net Loss: Despite its presence across three major metros, the segment posted a net loss of ₹10.54 crore during the year.
The company stated that the proposed transaction aligns with its strategic decision to streamline operations and focus on core, high-priority business segments.
The FM radio business will be sold as a going concern through Vibgyor Broadcasting Private Limited, T.V. Today’s wholly owned subsidiary.
- Total Consideration: ₹10 crore plus applicable taxes.
- Payment Terms: ₹5 crore to be paid at the time of signing the memorandum of understanding (MOU), with the remaining ₹5 crore due within three months.

Abhijit Realtors and Infraventures Private Limited, incorporated in 2007, operates across real estate, radio, and entertainment verticals and is not part of T.V. Today’s promoter group. The company confirmed the sale will be carried out on an arm’s-length basis, fully compliant with SEBI norms, and will have no impact on its shareholding pattern.
