Fans of the hit action-drama series ‘The Family Man‘ can finally mark their calendars: the much-awaited third season is set to premiere globally on Prime Video on November 21. Created by the acclaimed filmmaker duo Raj & DK under their banner D2R Films, the new season promises a significant escalation in action, stakes, and emotional intensity.
The upcoming season sees the return of Manoj Bajpayee as the ever-resilient Srikant Tiwari, the middle-class man who secretly juggles the pressures of his domestic life with the extreme dangers of his covert job as an intelligence officer. This time, the challenges are intensified as Srikant faces his most formidable threat yet, testing both his professional resolve and his personal relationships.
Creators Raj & DK stated that they wanted to ensure the long wait was worth it for the audience, promising “even more high-octane action, a gripping narrative… and an elevated, edge-of-the-seat experience.” They revealed a major plot shift, saying, “This season, the hunter becomes the hunted, as Srikant faces a threat unlike any before, in the form of Rukma—one that endangers not just him and his career, but his family too.” Jaideep Ahlawat and Nimrat Kaur join the cast in powerful new roles, with Ahlawat confirmed to play the formidable antagonist, Rukma.
The series, written by Raj, DK, and Suman Kumar with dialogues by Sumit Arora, is directed by Raj & DK, with Kumar and Tusshar Seyth joining as co-directors this season.
Key returning cast members include Sharib Hashmi as JK Talpade, Priyamani as Suchitra Tiwari, Ashlesha Thakur as Dhriti, Vedant Sinha as Atharv, Shreya Dhanwanthary as Zoya, and Gul Panag as Saloni. As the plot unfolds, Srikant will find himself navigating through uncharted territories, facing enemies both within and beyond India’s borders.
Nikhil Madhok, Director and Head of Originals at Prime Video India, hailed the show as one that has “redefined long-format storytelling” and become a part of the cultural zeitgeist, noting the new season’s “signature blend of humour and action backed by stellar performances.”
