ZEE5 Launches ‘Bharat Binge Festival’ for Diwali, Cuts Subscription Prices

Ushering in the festive season with a focus on high-stakes drama, ZEE5 has announced a major Diwali campaign: ‘Iss Diwali, Sirf ZEE5 Par Plot Badlega… Ho Jao Ready!’. This innovative initiative, branded as the Bharat Binge Festival, promises a curated, multi-language lineup of gripping content alongside exclusive festive offers designed to transform the traditional holiday into an entertainment extravaganza.

According to an official press release, ZEE5’s latest campaign strategy is rooted in deeply observed viewer habits. The platform’s data indicates a significant and growing demand in India for engaging, genre-driven entertainment. While classic romances and family dramas still hold a place in festive viewing, genres like thrillers, mysteries, and crime dramas are now ranked among the platform’s most-watched content. The ‘Bharat Binge Festival’ is specifically designed to capitalize on this shift, delivering stories built around surprise, emotional intensity, and thrilling plot twists—the core ingredients of modern binge-worthy entertainment.

Breaking away from conventional, purely “feel-good” festive narratives, ZEE5’s campaign cleverly reimagines Diwali as a festival of twists and unexpected emotional moments. This unique approach positions the OTT platform as the premier destination where “every plot changes,” ensuring every viewer finds a narrative that ignites curiosity and excitement.

To enhance the festive celebration, ZEE5 has introduced special limited-time discounts running from October 13 to 20. During this week-long period, subscribers can avail significant savings on plans:

  • The Hindi content pack is discounted to Rs. 149 (from the regular Rs. 199).
  • Regional packs are priced at a low Rs. 59 (down from Rs. 99).
  • The All Access Pack is available at a special price of Rs. 249 (regularly Rs. 299).

Furthermore, ZEE5 has secured strategic partnerships with major consumer platforms Paytm and CRED to offer additional cashback benefits on UPI AutoPay. The platform is also bundling a three-month JioSaavn Pro trial with ZEE5 plans, extending the festive joy well beyond the viewing experience.

The Bharat Binge Festival is a unifying event that brings diverse Indian storytelling traditions together, featuring an exciting line-up of premieres across seven languages: Hindi, Marathi, Bangla, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada. Viewers can anticipate new releases including ‘Bhagwat Chapter One: Raakshas’, ‘Saali Mohabbat’, ‘Honeymoon Se Hatya’, ‘Sthal’, ‘Mrs Dasgupta’, ‘Kishkindapuri’, ‘Veduvan’, ‘Sumathi Valuvu’, and ‘Elumale’, among many others.

Siju Prabhakaran, Chief Business Officer, ZEE5, stated, “Every Diwali tells a story of traditions and moments shared. With the Bharat Binge Festival, we’ve drawn on audience insights to curate bold, genre-spanning stories in every language—paired with festive offers that make them even more accessible.”

Kartik Mahadev, Chief Marketing Officer, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited, added that the campaign’s thought, ‘Iss Diwali, Sirf ZEE5 Par Plot Badlega… Ho Jao Ready!’, perfectly embodies the spirit of surprise that defines ZEE5’s stories, capturing the pulse of festive India.

By offering everything from high-octane thrillers and heartfelt romances to strong regional family dramas, the ‘Bharat Binge Festival’ reaffirms ZEE5’s leadership as India’s home for diverse, high-engagement storytelling.
