Colgate-Palmolive (India) Ltd today reported its financial results for the fourth quarter of the fiscal year 2025, revealing a 7.14% increase in advertising expenses, which reached ₹180 crore. However, the company also reported a decline in net profit to ₹355 crore for the same period.
The net profit of ₹355 crore in Q4FY25 represents a 6% decrease compared to the ₹379.82 crore profit reported in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year. The company cited lower sales as a primary factor impacting the profit.
Despite the increase in advertising spending to ₹180 crore in Q4FY25 from the previous year’s figure, Colgate-Palmolive’s total income for the quarter stood at ₹1,481.57 crore, down from ₹1,512.66 crore in Q4FY24. Net sales for the quarter were reported at ₹1,452 crore, compared to ₹1,481 crore in the same period last year. Total expenses saw a marginal increase to ₹1,003.95 crore from ₹1,001.3 crore in the year-ago period.
For the entire fiscal year 2025, Colgate-Palmolive’s net profit after tax grew by 8.5% to ₹1,437 crore, up from ₹1,324 crore in FY24. The company’s net sales for FY25 reached ₹5,999 crore, compared to ₹5,644 crore in the previous fiscal year.
The board of directors has declared a second interim dividend of ₹27 per share, bringing the total dividend for FY25 to ₹51 per share.
