In a major step towards Saudi Arabia’s digital transformation, DataVolt has secured land lease terms with The Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON) to develop a state-of-the-art AI-Ready data center in Riyadh. Spanning a vast 55,000 square meters within the First Technology Park in East Riyadh, this high-tech facility aims to meet the surging demand for advanced AI processing from hyperscalers, cloud service providers, and enterprises.

The planned data center isn’t just about scale—it’s about sustainability. DataVolt is integrating cutting-edge cooling systems and a circular economy approach to ensure optimized energy use with minimal environmental impact. Known for its commitment to green tech, the company has already spearheaded over 20GW of renewable energy projects across nine countries.

Rajit Nanda, CEO of DataVolt, emphasized the project’s alignment with Saudi Vision 2030, stating, “We are providing mission-critical digital infrastructure that will support the KSA’s position as a global leader in AI while offering customers sustainable data center solutions. Every step we take directly supports Saudi Arabia’s goal of economic diversification and environmental sustainability.”

DataVolt’s latest project is part of its colossal $5 billion commitment to the Kingdom, focusing on expanding digital infrastructure while staying environmentally conscious. The company’s strategy revolves around enhancing operational efficiency, reducing carbon footprints, and enabling enterprises to grow sustainably.
