TV Today Network, the media conglomerate that operates news channels such as Aaj Tak and India Today, has reported a 46.3% drop in its net profit for the fourth quarter of the financial year 2025 (Q4FY25). The company’s profit decreased to ₹6.15 crore, down from ₹11.46 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year (Q4FY24).
Despite the significant dip in the fourth quarter, TV Today Network’s overall financial performance for the entire fiscal year 2025 showed positive growth. The company’s profit for FY25 surged by 32% year-on-year to ₹74.53 crore, compared to ₹56.38 crore in FY24.
The company’s revenue from operations saw a marginal increase in Q4FY25, rising to ₹249.17 crore from ₹247.37 crore in Q4FY24. For the entire fiscal year 2025, the total income of TV Today Network reached ₹1,038.73 crore. The television and other media operations remained the primary revenue drivers, contributing ₹993.02 crore for the full fiscal year.
In a strategic move during FY25, the Board of Directors approved the closure of its FM Radio Broadcasting operations. Earlier, in February 2025, the company had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Creative Channel for the proposed sale of its three FM radio stations located in Mumbai, Delhi, and Kolkata for a total consideration of ₹20 crore.
Furthermore, TV Today Network invested ₹9.4 crore in its wholly-owned subsidiary, Vibgyor Broadcasting Private Limited, in March 2025, through a rights issue. The radio business reported a revenue of ₹14.16 crore and a loss after tax of ₹7.89 crore for the financial year ended March 31, 2025.
